The Transparency Project by horizont3000 is an initiative aimed at combating corruption in Uganda, Tanzania, and Kenya. The project focuses on strengthening governance and financial control mechanisms within horizont3000 and its partner organisations. Through a combination of awareness-raising activities, the development of robust financial management systems, and the implementation of a whistleblowing mechanism, the project seeks to reduce corruption and foster a culture of integrity. It also emphasizes collaboration and the sharing of best practices among partner organizations, ensuring that all stakeholders are equipped to address and prevent corruption effectively.

horizont3000 initiated this project in response to multiple fraud and corruption cases encountered in East Africa. The project is a continuation of efforts started between 2020 and 2022 to raise awareness about corruption and improve internal controls among partner organisations.
