Improving of the livelihood of Ugandan farmers on an ecological, economic, and social level. The project cooperation works on AFIRD’s organisational impact to increase the NGO's potential for the sustainable implementation of its projects. Moreover, the establishment of a social enterprise is strengthened, which is AFIRD’s sister institution Resource Center for Permaculture. The centre offers trainings and organic agricultural inputs to farmers, gardeners, and institutions.
Directly involved are 18 people (9 female and 9 male), indirectly involved 2.448 people (1.224 female and 1.224 male).
As landscape ecologist, Renée Moreaux has been working for several years as project coordinator and consultant in the context of sustainable use of natural resources, conservation agriculture, and protected area development. She specializes in participatory facilitation methods at the intersection of sustainable land use and international conservation.
