Consolidating the agroforestry model using participatory methods, with a particular focus on strengthening the role of women, to improve the technical know-how of the partner organisation and to advise the target groups on sustainable small-scale agricultural production. The efforts will include strengthening project development, promoting sustainable agriculture using appropriate methods and assisting in the development of new project ideas.
Directly involved are 100 people (50 female and 50 male), indirectly involved 500 people (250 female and 250 male).
Laís Nara holds a Bachelor's Degree in Biology and completed a two-year Double Diploma Master's Programme in Sustainable Forest and Nature Management. With over five years of international work experience, she excels as a Brazilian project manager specialising in capacity building for local communities in protected areas and the development of agroforestry systems.
LevasFlor was established in 2005 as a socially and environmentally conscious business under the collaboration of the Swedish Protestant diocese of Västerås and the Mozambican Anglican Church's Lebombo diocese. LevasFlor endeavors to turn the tide against deforestation by creating a viable market for certified, sustainably sourced timber.
