Strengthening the capacity of PARAAN staff and member organisations in the areas of Natural Resource Management and Conflict Transformation. Another goal is to support the general office administration in developing policies and strategies for the alliance.

Florian Schöpperle studied African Studies with a focus on social anthropology, history, and language. He worked as an Office Manager for the German Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Tanzania, served in various capacities (as an advisor, a country coordinator, and a desk officer) for AGIAMONDO's Civil Peace Service and spent two staff assignments in Uganda and Timor-Leste.
The Pastoralist Alliance for Resilience and Adaptation Across Nations (PARAAN) is a network of Kenyan organisations that are envisioning to secure the land- and human rights of indigenous peoples (including pastoralists, hunter-gatherers, and fisher folks) in Kenya.
